Classical music background is enough to bring me back. We enjoyed Bun salads and some fried dumplings. Definitely worth a return visit!

Good food, location not so much

I was prepared to not like Bamboo One because I already have a favorite Pho place. But this hole in the wall had friendly service, good prices, and very good food. There's a retro Asian take-out vibe, decorated with a giant backlit pastoral presumably Vietnamese scene, and tables and chairs like your grandmother's porch. I thought this was somehow "authentic"...

Hampton Roads are is home to Bamboo One, a locally owned and operated Vietnamese restaurant. It serves traditional cuisine from the Asian country like chin nam, pho ga, grilled chicken with rice and stir fried shrimp with hot pepper sauce.
