I'm an active duty officer stationed in AZ but was getting married in VA where I grew up. I flew in to personally meet with them and take care of wedding stuff in August(my wedding was on Thanksgiving weekend in 2011). I saw Bill and even saw the limo that we would be using. On that day, I gave them a deposit and received the signed contract with all the information.
The week before my wedding, I called them as I had all my other wedding vendors to confirm everything. Bill told me yes, we are good to go and even read me all the pick up & drop off information for my wedding day.
The day of my wedding, THEY DID NOT SHOW UP!! My husband & the wedding planner called them and was told there was no record of the wedding on that day then I called and Bill finally picked up and told me the same thing. I said "there is a wedding" then he goes, "who did you speak to?" then I said "YOU!!"
Then he tells me he's in Suffolk and can't come in but can get one of his "buddies" in the limo industry to come and pick us up and we just pay them whatever they charge us.
At this point, we are already AN HOUR late for the wedding so I ask him for my deposit back.
We had a 700 guest wedding, the pastor had to let the congregation know what was going on which was embarrassing!! The photographer had to take me and some of my bridesmaids in his SUV(Imagine that!!!) Then my parents and the rest of the wedding party had to take their own car. My husband and his groomsmen went to the church in a minivan!! His parents went on the guest shuttle bus. We had hired a shuttle service to take guests back and fort from church to the hotel and with the delay caused by B&L we were charged extra by them and other vendors b/c the whole wedding including the reception was pushed back.
When we returned from our honeymoon, my husband called B&L to give us the extra $175 that we were charged by our vendors and can you believe Bill told him "NO" and HUNG UP ON HIM!!!
Bill tried to tell him that they tried to work with us to send another company there but I refused.
First of all, in a professional buisness, something like that shouldn't even occur so why if I'm already an hour late for my wedding would I let a vendor who already screwed us over find us another limo company then wait however long it takes this new company to show up just to make it to church then pay whatever fee I'll be charged for a last minute work...I couldn't believe he said that!!!
If Bill and B&L truly cared about customers, they would have apologized and refunded us back $175 that we were charged by vendors for going over in time.
Our pictures would have been ruined if it hadn't been for the photographer who is AMAZING since we were racing against daylight.
From what I've been hearing, this isn't the first time B&L have done something like this so PLEASE, if you value your big day and don't want to leave it up to chance, find another company. Their deals and specials just isn't worth it.
I used B&L for a very important evening, and everything went amazing. My driver Chris was on time, dressed professionally, and very respectful. He held the door for us, and carried an umbrella because it rained a bit. The Limousine was clean and very nice. Air conditioning worked great too. B and L Limousines is a wonderful company, I used their service for my wedding. They were the nicest people to work with. I had forgotten some very important things back at our house for the wedding. They dropped our wedding party off at the church so we wouldn't be late, and then went back to the house to retrieve the items.
