I came here after seeing a vehicle I was interested in purchasing for my daughter on cars.com and reading their customer reviews. I can't agree more with the positive reviews, they made us feel like family without any pressure and made our car buying experience quick and easy. My daughter is thrilled with her new Honda and my other daughter who is not far behind her is definitely looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for all your help. (Edited March 10, 2015)
I had the pleasure of purchasing another car from Auto Max of York County. I returned to this dealer because of the casual experience unlike other high pressure car sales tactics. I purchased the first car for my daughter and had a great experience. Within 1 hour I had financing arranged and left with a great car that my daughter has gone off to college with. Today I returned for my car and once again the Jobson's have exceeded my expectations.
Purchased a complete lemon, VW Beetle, from this guy. Was informed by the owner, that a new timing belt & water pump had just been installed at the time of purchase. Within 6 months of buying, the water pump began leaking like a dog. Within 1 week of purchasing the car from him, I noticed the car was down-shifting into second and first, hard. I called the owner to question him about this and his response was, "it was normal for VW's and if there was really a problem, the check engine light would turn on." The car is shifting so hard, that it feels like someone has rear-ended you, or in the case of shifting up, about to jerk your teeth out of your mouth. He was straight up lying, so that he didn't have to pay for the repair! After the fact, I found out that this is a very common problem with VW's and requires a $1,000 valve body + labor. I'm sure he knew this, as he claims to be a "VW Specialist." He hid the problem, because he wanted to dodge the problem and didn't want the expense out of his pocket. This guy is a complete typical dishonest "used car salesman." I've had many other issues besides mentioned (2 door latch actuators, driver window motor), but those were two items that were specifically addressed at time of purchase, that he was totally dishonest about. To add to these, he took in excess of 2 months, to send our title. Buyer Beware! Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this business to an enemy.
My husband and I were very impressed with the professionalism and dependability of this Auto Sales shop. There was no pressure and we loved supporting a local business. The owner is the salesman and his wife does the office work. They are a trustworthy local family who care about their reputation as a car dealership. I highly recommend this car dealership to anyone in the area looking for a dependable car at a good price.
Ive gotten a chevy cruze ltz and its a great car. Iam glad i wet there. Looked for a car on car fax and thats where i found them plus i have a cuzin who bought a truck from them and she was happy. No hard time very good people to deal with. Made the the c ar buying easy to do and fast....
I found my car online & traveled over 7 hours to see & possibly purchase this car. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Automax & love my new (used) car!
Disappoint that they left the price on the wind shield after me telling the no to let my daughter to know the price I paid.................
