Owners Mark Allen and Neville Steel were childhood mates and competitors in bakery and pastry at William Angliss, Melbourne. Their baked goods include sausage rolls, spot-on meat pies (also available in a cocktail size), lamingtons, Pavlova and apple slices. This place is excellent. Right on Marietta square, and the prices and selection are great. The fish and chips special is a prime example of the dish, with a very generous fried filet and delicious fries. The meat pies are all amazing and prepared so...
Authentic, delicious, and affordable. A great stop for a quick bite or take away. Seating is limited, but if the weather is pleasant, there are a couple of outdoor tables and the park in the Square is just a few steps away.
Right on the square in Marietta the Australian Bakery has never let me down. They serve the best fish and chips in the area. Their sandwiches and baked goods are fantastic and always fresh. If in the area this is my go to place.

Randomly stopped in on my way home this last weekend. I was presently surprised. The pastries were beautiful, but more importantly they tasted homemade!!! I tried the Australian sausage pastry, and it was phenomenal. I wish I had more now.
