This beautiful Victorian is located in a comfortable and safe neighborhood just north of the downtown area and very close to the Currier Museum of Art . Much of the original detail from when the Inn was first built in 1885 still exists, including numerous stained-glass windows and doors. Breakfast is delicious and for those who want another meal, tickets for tea can be purchased on select days.

Because it's in an attractive residential neighborhood of striking Victorian homes, staying in this five-room B&B will give you the best face of Manchester. Every room in the historic sage-green 1885 house, run by Darlene and Eric Johnston, is painted a different color and has beds topped with high-quality linens. There's decanted brandy in the sitting room, which has the house's original...

This 1885, three-floor Victorian home-converted-to-B&B has the requisite pointy tower, but it's more interesting to travelers for its very central position -- just a block or so from the great Currier Museum of Art. There's lots of lovely original stained glass work throughout this house, from the front door to the living room to the tower, and it's all unified by an intriguing "sunburst"...

Excellent B&B

I must say that this B&B owner has gone to extraordinary lengths to make this urban B&B comfortable –– visually, as well as physically –– for his guests.
We were in Room 207, which I guess was small, but the furniture was arranged in such a way that we didn't feel at all cramped.
I especially appreciated two features that...

We stayed in Manchester as a "stop over", to break up our journey. I am very pleased with our decision to stay at the Ash Street Inn. Our room was comfortable, with all the regular amenities. And, unlike every other B & B we've stayed at, we had a choice of made-to-order cooked breakfasts! I enjoyed the scrambled eggs &...
