Editorial reviews from the web (5)

"Serious shoppers" in Giorgio Armani's Fifth Avenue flagship unwind at this "hidden" third-floor Italian whose "chic", "beautiful" space "floating above Fifth Avenue" is populated with equally "pretty people"; it's a "favorite for lunch", but the food's "delectable" at dinner too (the pricing less so).

Despite (or possibly because of) being in a high-end menswear store, Armani is a very good, very refined, and very authentic expression of Italian alta cucina. There will be no fitting in those narrow suits after a big meal there!

Armani/Ristorante Restaurant Review

A fashion designer opening a restaurant? It’s not unheard of. After all, Armani’s café in Milan and the Dolce & Gabbana restaurant, Gold, have been successful. Now comes Armani/Ristorante in New York. As you’d expect, this Italian eatery is a high-priced affair, housed above the couture on the third floor of Armani/5th Avenue, making it one of the most tony food courts in the country. Lorenzo...

For when you love Armani so much you just want it inside you. Lux corporate perch is to house cafeterias what Fabergé is to eggs. Glossy black floors reflecting high-design tables and chairs. Look down on the Fifth Avenue masses while knocking back meat, fish, or veggie tasting menus. Exquisite preparations of leek flan, lobster Caprese, lamb with foie gras and sherry. Long bar for a...

Editorial Review

Complete with views overlooking 5th Avenue, this styled, modern, unsurprisingly-Italian restaurant and bar oozes upscale.

The key message is that it was my best dinner while in town and I had a few in fine dining restaurants.
Key highlights:
1. Very good dishes, creative, refined in taste and very high quality
2. Correctly sized portions: let's say it clearly, if...

Impeccable food and taste

The presentation, quality of the food, fabulous wine and ending in a artfully prepared desert this was by far on the top of my dining experiences. I wandered in from 5th Ave. using Open Table. When we arrived I was a little nervous as we...
