As a local I really wanted to like this restaurant. We were able to get a reservation on a Saturday night with no problem. The bar area was busy but not too many diners.

Have only ever had lunch at the Pilot House and can't complain about any of the visits. The food was good and sandwiches were generously filled. The waterfront location is very nice but the inside of the the restaurant could use some TLC.
New owner but food is still the same, plain and bland. Needs a new menu. Needs new decor inside. The view is very nice and the outdoor seating area is really pretty. Service was very, very slow. Best bet, just go for drinks.
Went there this past summer and in the fall, both times the food was fantastic.
Reasonably priced, great service and excellent food.
