This was my first visit to Applewood Manor and I arrived late in the evening after flights from London via JFK. Nancy was very welcoming and made me feel at home, even to the extent of ferrying me into town one evening so that I could have dinner and then picking me up afterwards. Applewood Manor is an elegant inn located in Castleton Vt. quite close to the college campus. My husband and I spent a night there in February 2013 while our daughter was visiting Castleton College. The experience was wonderful. Our hosts, Nancy and Ralph were attentive without being intrusive; very friendly and focused on making sure we had everything we needed....

We have stayed at Applewood Manor several times and every time we return, it is just as wonderful as before. Nancy and Ralph are wonderful hosts and the inn is beautiful. Applewood Manor B&B is elegant,warm,comfortable and inviting. A perfect combination of friendly innkeepers,Nancy and Ralph and a charming stately home. When in the Castleton/rutland area it is the place to stay!
We enjoyed a great breakfast and pleasant conversation with the innkeepers before our departure.
