You may notice sounds in your attic in the winter time such as bouncing or digging. Chances are it is either squirrels or flying squirrels. Squirrels in the attic is common during this time because they are like you and me, they come in to seek shelter from the elements.
You also may notice in the summer time bats in your attic. During this time of the year the bats establish colonies in gable vents, soffit areas, chimneys, practically anywhere they can squeeze into (approximately 1/2 inch).
