They unclogged a dryer vent inside the clothes dryer and also installed a new vent to outside as it had separated from the wall.
The serviceman came after I had smelled smoke or heat coming from the laundry area, his response time was very good. It is a good thing He came so quickly, because I could have easily had a fire had he not come out. He was polite, and professional. The price quoted includes the new vent parts as well as labor.
They replaced a faucet. The "plumber" was not licensed. The parts under the sink needed replacing and he could not do it but still charged me the minimum charge of $125.00 (less $25.00 coupon). I had to call a licensed plumber and I ended up paying twice. They should not have taken on a job they were not licendes to do.
I recently asked four companies to give me a price on replacing a fallen fence.
Amazingly, all four estimates were within $100 of each other. Andy On Call’s bid was lowest by about $75 so I chose them to do the work.
Prior to and in preparation for them beginning the work, I spoke to them four times via phone and once in person when they came out to walk the project with me.
Upon completion of the job, they informed me that their bid was for labor only and did not include materials. Since I had requested a quote for a completed job, I assumed their quote was for the entire job as per my request. I didn’t realize that I was never given an estimate for the cost of materials. With the cost of materials added in upon completion, it escalated the price of the project 60%. This additional cost put Andy On Call at 60 to 70% above all other bidders.
I was shocked when I found out that my cost was now 60% greater than what I had agreed to pay, especially now that the job was completed and I had no recourse other than to pay it. When I questioned this, their answer was that I should have read the printing on the bid. I agree, it was my fault that I didn’t read the bid agreement in its entirety. I questioned why this wasn’t mentioned to me during any of my numerous conversations with them and they told me that it is not their responsibility or their habit to ensure that the customer understands that the rate they quoted was for labor only.
I found it strange that ALL other bidders were clear that when I asked them for a price on replacing this fence, they understood that I was asking them for the entire cost of rebuilding this fence. Andy On Call is the ONLY one of the four that gave me a partial price.
Their only excuse was “this is the way customers want the bids done”. If this is what I wanted, I would have asked for a price for Labor Only. Rather, I clearly asked for a price for the entire project. If it were true that this is the way customers want their bids, then it seems that all bidding companies would have given me a price on labor only.
Ultimately, the fence looks good but please be warned that what they bid is not what you will pay for the job.

I had them install panelling on my patio ceiling about 3 months ago, but the salesman at Home Depot sold me the wrong material (for indoor, not outdoor!!) Needless to say, the paneling is already sagging, but Andy OnCall came back out to fix it the best they could. My experience is that they are honest and stand by their work.
