Allman's Bar-B-Que

My Standard for Que. Allman's compares to Wilbur's in Goldsboro, North Carolina, City BBQ in Dayton, Ohio and is way better than all those chain restaurants that serve barbeque. Now I am going to Kansas City this year, I guarantee that Allman's will still be my place for pulled pork sandwiches. Three places I eat when I return to Fredericksburg, this is one of them, along with Carl's Ice Cream...

Old establishment with history. Pork bbq is really good. I wasn't crazy about the vinegary bbq sauce. Hush puppies are really good. I'll be back to try...

I'm a NC BBQ boy but this was pretty good. I enjoyed the staff and I ate at the bar. The vanilla shake was a great was to wash it all down.

Finally, Good BBQ. It's hard to find a good BBQ joint when your surrounded by Famous Daves' and Red Hot & Blues, but this little hole in the wall has exactly what you're looking for if you want authentic BBQ. Ditch the sauce and enjoy the dry rub on the ribs. Pulled pork is badass, too.
