Food was really good. They only thing I would say is add a dinner roll or cornbread to the menu

I've only eaten here once so I can only speak of that one meal. The chicken was just chicken (as good as most place) but the POTATO SALAD was absolutely delicious!!! But where I work (Norfolk Scope) co-workers eat there quite often so other foods must be good as well.

Alice Mays' Soul Food was nothing but the truth. I'm sorry they close in Downtown Norfolk. So I guess I have to travel to P-Town to get that down South cooking. It is well worth it.

If you ever want to be in Soul Food Heaven, visit Alice Mays. The food is simply divine. That good food will take you all the way back!! TAlking about being moved!! It will truly have yuo screaming!! That how good it is. The rolls are soft and buttered, the chicken is hot and juicy and the greens are fresh!!
