Diagnosed and fixed a problem that no one else could!
I have been to Accurate-Tune Plus on Monticello in the past for oil changes and was always happy with the service and speed. I recently took my 2000 Corolla there because I've had a bad shaking in the steering wheel since someone pulled me out of some sand I was stuck in by hooking up a towline to the wrong place on my car 3 years ago. I have taken it to various mechanics over the years, including a family member, and have gotten different stories and paid for everything from new tires to a new axle to a balance and alignment. These things always kind of helped, but Accurate Tune Plus FIXED IT. I was even considering buying a new car. J.T. at the front desk talked to me in detail about it and listened very patiently to the history of it. When I told him what my family member (who is a mechanic) said was wrong with it, he even gave me a card for a local shop that specializes in it. He would have given me that info out of courtesy and gotten nothing out of it, but I decided to get an oil change while I was there. Without me asking him to, he and his mechanics looked at the steering wheel issue while it was up on the lift and noticed bent rims and unevenly worn tires. They showed me the problem and explained it well. Then they fixed it and my steering wheel no longer shakes!! Thank you guys!! No new car payment for me!!

They Tried to scam me....Luckily I got a second Opinion
I spent the money to take my car to get it diagnosed by this group of guys. It just happens to be close to where I live and easily accessible from Monticello. I thoroughly explained symptoms of my car to the gentlemen, and they came back and said that my water pump must not be working and that they had 2 of their techs both arrive at the same idea. What kind of techs cant trace a coolant leak to a HOLE in a hose. They tried to quote me almost 700 dollars to fix the timing and water pump because it needed it. Had another company look at it..they immidiately told me I had a hose leak, and that my thermostat was stuck shut. Cost to fix around $85, and What do you know..it was fixed. I HATE scam artist, and I HATE mechanics shops that try to get over on PEOPLE. I will make sure my friends and the rest of NSU and ODU student know to NEVER trust this shop. I just hope I saved one person from spending WAY more then needed from a dishonest Mechanic. I'm Beyond angry that they blatantly tried to scam me. Typical worthless , unreliable, dishonest Car Mechanics Shop. The PLUS is for plus we'll try to catch gullible people who believe us and take your whole paycheck.

Very Friendly
I just want to share that I have had great experiences here so far. This is the place I go to take my car and I'm so thankful to have found a staff that listens to what I have to say without speaking to me like I'm stupid and treats me with respect, along with getting my car fixed quicker than I've had anywhere else.

These guys are wonderful!
JT helped me out with my Durango on Thursday - diagnosing a problem with my AC - and didn't charge me.
When I took my Sportage over on Saturday, he took care of the stalling problem that had been haunting us for months for a lot cheaper that I expected.
On Monday evening, the Sportage appeared to have blown a belt. He waited after closing for us to arrive with the tow truck - I just got off the phone with him and not only has the belt been fixed, he has managed to find a way to repair the drive train problem which also appeared for significantly less...
