Help us make it rightYou can't miss this fine restaurant as you stroll through Carytown, for it occupies the front portico and part of the 19th-century First Baptist Church, now converted into a shopping complex. It's the creation of executive chef Dale Reitzer, who honed his skills at The Frog and The Redneck, once one of Richmond's finest restaurants. Dale presides over the kitchen and concocts a nightly dinner...
Acacia took the top spot in my list of Richmond restaurants. Service is slow, but polite. The food is perfection. (I've never seen my wife clean 3 full plates before.) Casual dress code but cool atmosphere inside. Complimentary valet. In the week since I made the reservation they called me twice to confirm that we were still coming. That tells me it's pretty hard to get a table -- I now...
We have had many pleasant dining experiences since moving to Richmond. My wife and I were great fans of the Acacia at the previous location. We had waited several months prior to trying your new location with expectations that it would be an improvement over the previous location. What a disappointment! The noise level in the restaurant was such that it was almost impossible for wife and I to...
Beautiful setting! The place is strikingly eye pleasing. I went with my boyfriend for a romantic evening. The food was unexplainably delicious. However, or waitor, Becky was very unprofessional. She was polite, but didn't remember what wine we ordered, and did not even display the bottle. She left are drinks unfilled, but Brad came along and helped her out. I reccommend asking for him...
Simply the best meal I've had in Richmond! The food was amazing and setting very intimate (although unusual). A great place for that "special dinner." And unlike another reviewer, I had no issues with service. I'm going to let my wallet take a rest...but I can't wait to go back!
Absolutely loved the food at Acacia as did the other 3 people I ate with but the poor, nonexistent servic completely ruined the experience. I even wrote the restaurant telling them about this and received NO response. The atmosphere is OK - very loud and crowded. Also extremely overheated the night we were there. When we told our waiter this, his response was "Yeah, it is hot in here." No offer...
Acacia mid-town is located at 2601 W. Cary St. at the corner of Cary and Robinson streets in Richmond's Fan district. Owners Aline and Chef Dale Reitzer continue the tradition of fine cuisine they perfected at the former location in Carytown for 10 years. The menu takes advantage of the freshest, highest quality food the area has to offer, cooked with consideration and to perfection by the...
Acacia can be found at W Cary St 3325. The following is offered: Steak Houses. The entry is present with us since Sep 9, 2010 and was last updated on Nov 14, 2013. In Richmond there are 14 other Steak Houses. An overview can be found here.
The location is historical an Old Richmond, recently-renovated church but the restaurant is new. New American cuisine is the specialty here. Any of the fresh fish dishes are excellent, and for a different twist, try the smoked salmon atop a crispy corn pancake.
Recognized as one of Richmond's finest restaurants, Acacia adheres to the philosophy that dining should be a memorable experience. Located in the Old Church Building, tiled floors and black lacquered chairs give the restaurant a contemporary contrast to the historic building. A front porch provides seating with a view of Carytown that has been described as the best place for people-watching...
