I don't know why this place is always busy! I think the food is mediocre at best. Maybe it is more of a tourist place. Everytime that I have eaten at Aberdeen I have left with a horrible stomach ache. The ambience is lacking and the singer is horrible!
Food was mediocre and way overpriced. Atmosphere ruined by live loud singer who did "old standards" out of tune. Next time I'll eat at Wendy's across the street.
I was very disappointed,my husband and I ordered 2 porterhouses at $38.95 a piece. We ordered them med-rare,my husbands came out almost well done,it was grey almost the whole way through.Mine was medium on the new york side,I decided to keep mine but sent my husbands back. When his came back out, about 5 min later,it was pretty much rare and sizzling and smoking so much he could not see to eat. My husband was afraid to send it back again & just delt with it. By the time I got to my fillet side I realized it was well done,no hint of pink anywhere. So I could not eat my fillet side and discussed my disappointment with my waitress. She went and talk to the manager and he offered to give us a dessert for ruining our $40 steaks I explained I am not allowed to have sweets and she said ok and gave us our bill. We politely paid and discussed how we would not be back. Upon leaving we approached the manager and explained our disappointment and he said thanks for letting him know and walked away
Saws, pitchforks, ox yokes, and the like hang on the barn walls, but the wood tables are lacquered, and the napkins are linen. Specialties include slow-roasted prime rib; baby-back Danish pork ribs barbecued with a sauce of peach preserves and Southern Comfort; and shrimp Dijon. An ample wine list offers a wide variety of domestic and imported choices. After dinner try one their specialty...
I took a steak and it was very good prepared. It is possible to enjoy local food and the environment is very warm (woods wall)
Ordered the Delmonico...no.flavor, overcooked and tough..I must say it was the worst steak I've ever eaten..very disappointing..potato was small and over cooked..no bread or vegetable..on the positive side, service was pretty good.
My recommendation, go somewhere else.
After reading some very positive recent reviews, we decided to try this restaurant again. It was fairly crowded on a Wednesday night. The decor is definitely looking tired. Lighting is terrible. Service was fairly quick. We had onion soup, prime rib and brownie/ice cream. The soup was good, especially the melted cheese, but too salty. The prime rib had good...
We went here the other evening and were sorely disappointed. The appetizers (oysters) were fantastic but the meal was not. I ordered the seafood trilogy (fried) and my husband ordered the same (broiled). His was good but mine was fried so hard that it sounded like a hockey puck when i hit it against the plate. The boys each ordered...
My family went to Aberdeen for the last night of our vacation. My husband had wanted prime rib and thought it would be a great ending to a fantastic trip.
It started well, we got there early, around 5:30. They had a table and were able to seat is right away. The waitstaff was very friendly and my husband and...
