I have only eaten breakfast here, and I stick to the Eggs Benedict, which are pretty close to perfection, and MUCH better than the local/San Antonio establishments. I am a big fan of the "mom & pop" establishments. Having traveled a lot, I have experienced many family owned diners.
This is the second time I tried Able's Diner. The first time was in their old, smaller location. This time, we visited the new larger location.

Abel's recently moved from a very small (capacity less than probably 25) to a much larger location on the south side of FM 3009. The new location will probably seat over 140 people. The food is exactly the same good, home cooked food with the same daily specials. The big difference is now, you do not have to line up...

New location with more room! 17327 IH 35 N in Schertz. Always excellent food with my best being their Chicken Fried Steak & the hush puppies that have a hint of jalapeño.
